R. David Syfan
David Syfan joined Hulsey, Oliver & Mahar, LLP in 1982 with a general litigation practice. Beginning in approximately 1984, Mr. Syfan began helping with the representation of Hall County, and subsequently was appointed as the City Attorney for Flowery Branch. This appointment started a 30-year plus career in the representation of local governmental entities including White County, the City of Blue Ridge, and the Town of Tallulah Falls. Mr. Syfan currently represents the cities of Gillsville, Baldwin, Alto, Clermont and Homer. Mr. Syfan also provides legal services to the Georgia Department of Transportation and Avita Community Partners. Mr. Syfan, besides this local government work, continues to have a civil litigation practice including business litigation, estate planning and general corporate work.
Mr. Syfan has been active in the community through various civic organizations. Mr. Syfan served on the Gainesville Board of Education from 2002 until 2013 and served as Chairman of the Board from 2008 until 2010.
