Paul B. Smart
Joining the firm in 1998, Mr. Smart maintains a transactional law practice, with a focus on real estate, corporate, and creditor’s bankruptcy law within the context of a business oriented client relationship. Mr. Smart also has significant local government law experience, with particular expertise in water and sewer issues, real estate acquisition, and zoning issues.
A partner with Hulsey, Oliver & Mahar, Mr. Smart heads up the firm’s technology committee. He is responsible for the acquisition, deployment, and maintenance of the firm’s technical assets.
Mr. Smart has an A.B. in political science from the University of Georgia, and a J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Property Law and Bankruptcy sections) and of the Gainesville-Northeastern Circuit Bar Association. He is married to Kristie Smart, and they have three children, Bentley, Cooper, and Clay.
