Julius M. Hulsey (retired)
Served as chairman of the City of Gainesville Board of Education and as a trustee for the Gainesville College Foundation. He is a member of the President’s Club of the University of Georgia and has served as a trustee of Brenau University for 17 years.
He currently serves as Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia. He also serves as an administrative hearing officer for the Georgia Department of Revenue.
Mr. Hulsey is past president of the Gainesville-Northeastern Circuit Bar Association, past president of the County Attorney’s Section of the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia; past chairman of the Local Government Law Section, State Bar of Georgia; and past president of the University of Georgia School of Law Advisory Council. Mr. Hulsey is also past chairman of the University of Georgia School of Law Board of Visitors. He was a recipient of the University of Georgia School of Law Alumni Association Distinguished Service Scroll Award. Formerly, he has served as Hall County Attorney, Union County Attorney, and Jackson County Attorney.
Mr. Hulsey retired in 2024 after over sixty years of distinguished practice.
